The May 2010 ISPC Webmeeting took place on Saturday, May 8 at 3:00 PM Eastern Time (USA). Elliot Hayes, pianists, presented a lecture on Nikolai Kapustin's piano music. Mr. Hayes focused on the Eight Concert Etudes, Op. 40.
Elliott Hayes is currently in his 3rd year at the University of Maryland's DMA Program in piano performance. He has received both his BM and MM at the University of Maryland while under the tutelage of Santiago Rodriguez.

The October 2009 ISPC Webmeeting took place on Sunday, October 25 at 3:00 PM Eastern Time (USA). Michael Polo, composer, presented a short lecture on his music with the focus on all steps of the creation process - from conception to performance. Mr. Polo discussed his recent compositions: Land Mass (Wind Orchestra), Perseverance (String Quintet) and The Chase (Piano Duet).
Michael Polo served as composer in residence at the Northern Lights Music Festival during 2007 and 2008. His compositions have been premiered by Rowan University Wind Ensemble and prizewinning performers such as violinists Jaroslaw Nadrzycki (Poland), Philip Brett (Australia), Ambra Casonato (Italy), Gary Ngan (Hong Kong), pianists Alexei Ivanchenko (Ukraine) and Ana Cristea (Moldova). He has recently published a new composition for piano duet - The Chase - with Piano Productions Press (Philadelphia).
Mr. Polo is currently a Masters of Music Degree candidate at George Mason University where he is studying with Mark Camphouse. Previously, he studied at Settlement School of Music with Roberto Pace and at Rowan University with Dr. Harold Oliver.
